Canadian Museum for Human Rights

The Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) is the world’s first museum dedicated to human rights. The museum is around the idea that respect and understanding of human rights can serve as a positive force for change in the world. The CMHR aims to embody passion, empathy, and creativity in their Annual Report design. Dedicated to global leadership in promoting dialogue and understanding, the museum engages audiences with innovative experiences fostering reflection and empathy. The brand values highlight inclusivity, honesty, diversity, education, and community engagement. In design, concepts like empathy, fairness, accuracy, and respect are prioritized, avoiding preachiness, insensitivity, and detachment.
